Maggie Tabberer is one of Australia’s most photographed and loved personalities.

Maggie’s illustrious career has included television publishing (fashion editor), publicity, fashion design and has been recognised with numerous awards and accolades. She began her career as a model in Melbourne and was named model of the year in 1960, posing as international photographer Helmut Newton’s muse. In 1970 and 1971 Maggie won Gold Logies for Beauty and the Beast and The Maggie Show. She was also a Fashion Columnist for the Daily Mirror for 16 years and Fashion Editor of the Australian Woman’s Weekly for 15 years. Maggie was instrumental in the presentation, production and co-ordination of the Weekly’s Australian Fashion Awards, which in 1982 was nominated for an International Emmy Award and won a High Distinction.

For 20 years she was at the helm of Maggie Tabberer and Associates, Australia’s top fashion PR Agency. Maggie was the first woman to win the Sir Charles McGrath Marketing Award, for both her fashion label and her corporate wardrobe designs for ANZ and AMP. In 1998 Maggie was awarded the Order of Australia for her contribution to the fashion industry and for her support of charitable organisations.

Maggie is author of a best-selling autobiography – which has been printed in both hardback and paperback and sold over 160 000 copies. She also has her own clothing range “Maggie T”. In 2000, Maggie signed with Foxtel as the face of the fx channel – Australia’s first TV channel for women and this relationship continued when the channel evolved into W in 2003. From 2001 to 2010 Maggie has hosted specials for Foxtel and presented the Maggie….At Home With series on both the Biography and Bio channel.
