DMG Radio has today announced that Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald will host the National Drive Show with Wippa on the Nova Network in 2011.

Fitzy entered radio after his appearance on Big Brother in 2004. Cath O’Connor approached HMMG at the time as we all knew that Fitzy was a big talent, ready to be developed. He joined the brand new Nova Adelaide station that year as the Sports Reporter on the Breakfast Show. DMG put the time and resources into Fitzy as new talent and it has paid off. Six years down the track he is a proven broadcaster with huge appeal and is always working to keep learning and getting even better.

His former life as an AFL player for the Sydney Swans and Adelaide Crows and his appeal as a genuine bloke paved the way into TV and has worked with the Roving Enterprises produced footy show Before The Game on Ten since 2005. Fitzy is a regular presenter on 7PM Project with an increased presence in 2010 and is particularly thrilled to interview Metallica next week.

HMMG is excited about Fitzy’s to return to Sydney, where he lived for a few years while playing for the Swans, with his gorgeous wife BJ and “little man” Hewie.
