After eight years under his MORRISSEY label, Peter Morrissey will hand the baton onto another Australian designer as Qantas announce their intention to appoint the next uniform designer to the brand.

Peter said “It is a great honour to be asked to design the uniforms for Qantas and it will remain one of my most rewarding achievements. As the relationship comes to an end, I too look forward to seeing which direction the brand and its uniforms will take in the future and wish the team the greatest success.”

In a statement issued today, the airline said, “Qantas has enjoyed working with Peter Morrissey over the past decade, not only as the designer for the Qantas uniform, but also as the fashion mentor for the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards from 2005 through to 2008, and as the designer of the ever popular Business Class pyjamas.”

The Peter Morrissey Business Class pyjamas will continue.

Peter Morrissey currently oversees the mass market brand Man & Woman by Peter Morrissey and recently acquired the rights to the MORRISSEY brand after 14 years. He is currently working on the expansion of both brands into new markets.
