Naomi is known as an influential business leader who has transformed e-commerce in Australia, having founded online success story RedBalloon in 2001. She went on to co-found the Big Red Group (BRG) with partner David Anderson in 2017, which in addition to RedBalloon AU & NZ has Marketics (Albert AI), and joined the group on 8 Nov 2018. The BRG’s purpose is to shift the way people experience life and is at the forefront of digital disruption for experiences in Australia; delivering material value to business partners, its brands and stakeholders.

RedBalloon was founded in the front room of Naomi’s home, with $25,000 in family savings. It quickly proved to be a pioneer of experiential gifting in Australia, dominating the category, and now boasting almost 4,000 experiences, more than 2,000 business partners, and it has now delivered more than four million experiences across Australia and New Zealand.

Naomi is one of the five ‘Sharks’ on Channel Ten’s Shark Tank television series now in season four; is a prominent business blogger at; keynote speaker and author of a number of best-selling books including Live What You Love, and Ready To Soar. She has almost 2.5 million followers subscribed to her opinion and thought-leading posts on LinkedIn.

Naomi began her career as a corporate marketer with IBM, KPMG, Ansett and Apple, but left corporate life to begin her entrepreneurial journey more than 20 years ago. Naomi sits on a number of boards, including governor for the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation and a director on the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics.

She is a passionately curious individual, known to ask frequent and tough questions that challenge the status quo.
