With her vibrant personality and positive attitude Elka Whalan (nee Graham) has enjoyed a successful media career after representing Australia as a dual Olympian in the pool and multiple medalist. Her stellar swimming career saw her reach world #1 in her freestyle events bringing home medals from Olympics, World Championships & Commonwealth Games.
Elka hosted Live Well for the Seven Network and was a regular guest on Sunrise for 6+ years discussing news and lifestyle topics on panels and topical juries. She has also appeared on The Morning Show, Can of Worms, Between The Lines, Pyramid, Dancing With The Stars, Deal Or No Deal, The Panel, Laws and has commentated for ESPN and covered the London 2012 Olympics for Fox Sports. On radio, Elka has regularly spoken as a sports expert on Hope 103.2.
An engaging MC and motivational speaker, Elka has delivered at over 500 speaking events to various audiences including businesses, clubs, schools, consumers and teams. Her professionalism as a public speaker led Elka to create her own speaking events for her business venture, QueenHood.
Elka is the Ambassador for BioIsland and has previously worked brands such as Nabo, Helga’s, Tennis Australia, Ecco Shoes, Healthy Bones Australia, Rexona and SPC to amplify their brand messaging to a consumer audience. Elka has modelled for many magazines including Cleo, Marie Clare and Alpha. She was the face of AJC Spring Racing Carnival in 2004. As a mother of 4, Elka is regulaarly commissioned to write for popular parent websites & encourages women to embrace all aspects of motherhood.
